The capping machines are machines which do the operation of capping bottles, phials, jars and other food containers, through metal, plastic and cork closures.
The functioning of the machine depends on the fastening typology, which can be:
screw: they are already threaded and they are screwed on the counter thread of the container;
roll-on: before being applied they are smooth; the thread is created pressing the fastening (necessarily in alluminium) around the thread of the bottle with special rollers;
twist-off: they are the typical capsules for glass jars. They are applied in a similar way to the screw ones, but a much smaller rotation is needed to complete the screwing;
press & twist: they have plastisol gasket which expand adapting to the thread of the container during the steam vacuum pack fastening ;
crown: typically used for glass bottles, they are in metal with polymeric gasket on the inside. They are made to adhere near the opening of the bottle through a hollow spindle which folds the edge.
Cork or synthetics: vertical compression is put on the head of the cap which enters into the opening of the container and subsequently expands, guaranteeing the seal.
